TL;DR
This study searches for highly suppressed B meson decays into specific three-body final states using LHCb data, setting new upper limits on their branching fractions due to no observed evidence.
Contribution
First search for these rare B+ decay modes with LHCb data, establishing the most stringent upper limits to date on their branching fractions.
Findings
No evidence for the decays was observed.
Upper limits on branching fractions were set at 1.1×10⁻⁸ and 4.6×10⁻⁸.
Results improve constraints on rare B meson decay processes.
Abstract
A search is made for the highly-suppressed B meson decays and using a data sample corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 3.0 collected by the LHCb experiment in proton-proton collisions at centre-of-mass energies of 7 and 8 TeV. No evidence is found for the decays, and upper limits at 90\% confidence level are determined to be and .
