3D Printing & the Artists Known As the Fauves
Edward Aboufadel

TL;DR
This paper narrates an artist's exploration of using mathematical methods to create 3D printed art inspired by the Fauves, linking modern technology with early 20th-century art movements.
Contribution
It introduces a novel interdisciplinary approach connecting mathematical 3D printing techniques with Fauvist art styles.
Findings
Mathematical techniques can be applied to recreate Fauvist art in 3D.
The process bridges digital fabrication and early modern art.
Personal artistic experiments can inspire new interdisciplinary insights.
Abstract
In this short, chatty paper, I describe how my attempt to use mathematics to create a 3D print of a school portrait led me a group of early 20th century French artists known as the Fauves.
