Principle of detailed balance and a dilute gas in gravitational field
Kai Zhang, Yong-Jun Zhang

TL;DR
This paper derives a relation for molecular distribution in a dilute gas under gravity using detailed balance, aiding the analysis of temperature and density distributions.
Contribution
It introduces a novel relation based on detailed balance for molecular distributions in gravitational fields, applicable to temperature and density analysis.
Findings
Derived a molecular distribution relation in gravitational fields.
Provided a method to study temperature distribution.
Enabled analysis of density variation in dilute gases.
Abstract
We study in this paper a dilute gas in a gravitational field and present a relation of the molecular distribution function with respect to position and velocity. The relation is obtained from the principle of detailed balance and can be used to study temperature distribution and density distribution.
