Thermo-optic and thermal expansion coefficients of RTP and KTP crystals over 300-350 K
Arlee V. Smith, Jesse J. Smith, Binh T. Do

TL;DR
This study provides new measurements of the thermal expansion and thermo-optic coefficients of RTP and KTP crystals between 300 and 350 K, essential for optical device applications.
Contribution
The paper reports the first detailed measurements of thermal and thermo-optic properties of RTP and KTP crystals in the 300-350 K range, filling a gap in existing data.
Findings
Thermal expansion coefficients at 305 K for RTP and KTP are provided.
Normalized thermo-optic coefficients at 632.8 nm and 305 K are reported.
Differences in coefficients highlight material-specific thermal behaviors.
Abstract
We report new measurements of the thermal expansion and thermo-optic coefficients of RbTiOPO (RTP) and KTiOPO (KTP) crystals over the temperature range 300-350 K. For RTP/KTP our coefficients of linear thermal expansion at 305 K are: /K, /K, /K. Our normalized thermo-optic coefficients at 632.8 nm and 305 K are: /K, /K, /K.
