Discriminants of multilinear systems
Ioannis Z. Emiris, Raimundas Vidunas

TL;DR
This paper introduces a new determinantal formula for the discriminant of multilinear systems, which are relevant in analyzing Nash equilibria in multiplayer games with mixed strategies.
Contribution
It provides the first explicit determinantal formula for the discriminant of multilinear systems, advancing the understanding of their algebraic properties.
Findings
Derived a new determinantal formula for the discriminant.
Applied the formula to systems related to Nash equilibria.
Enhanced tools for analyzing multilinear algebraic systems.
Abstract
We study well-constrained bilinear algebraic systems in order to formulate their discriminant. We derive a new determinantal formula for the discriminant of a multilinear system that appears in the study of Nash equilibria of multiplayer games with mixed strategies.
