TL;DR
This paper develops an approximate NNLO calculation for s-channel single-top production using soft-gluon resummation, implements it in Hathor, and fits the top-quark mass to Tevatron data in different schemes.
Contribution
It introduces an approximate NNLO formula for single-top s-channel production based on soft-gluon resummation and applies it to top-quark mass extraction from experimental data.
Findings
Top-quark mass fitted in pole and MSbar schemes
Implementation of NNLO approximation in Hathor
Agreement with Tevatron cross section measurements
Abstract
We use a fixed-order expansion of resummed soft-gluon corrections to determine an approximate NNLO formula for the partonic cross section of single-top production in the -channel. This formula is implemented in the program Hathor for the numerical evaluation of hadronic cross sections. With the resulting code, we perform a fit of the top-quark mass to Tevatron cross section data. Results for are given in the pole-mass scheme and in the scheme.
