Schematic Interactions with Many Degeneracies
Arun Kingan, Michael Quinonez, Larry Zamick

TL;DR
This paper explores schematic interactions in a nuclear shell model with two protons and two neutrons, analyzing spectral degeneracies and extending previous experimental and theoretical studies.
Contribution
It advances understanding of nuclear spectra by examining schematic interactions with many degeneracies in a specific shell model space.
Findings
Spectral degeneracies are characterized in schematic interactions.
The work provides insights into the structure of nuclear energy levels.
It bridges previous experimental data with theoretical models.
Abstract
In previous works we examined the spectra for systems of 2 protons and 2 neutrons, in a single j shell calculation, by obtaining matrix elements from experiment. More recently we considered schematic interactions in the same model space. We continue in this vein here. The present work and the former can be regarded as 2 bookends on a bookshelf.
