Delta excitation in deuteron-proton elastic scattering
N.B. Ladygina

TL;DR
This paper models deuteron-proton elastic scattering using multiple scattering formalism, including $44$-isobar excitation, to accurately describe differential cross sections across a wide energy and angular range.
Contribution
It introduces a comprehensive approach that incorporates $44$-isobar excitation into the multiple scattering formalism for deuteron-proton scattering.
Findings
The model successfully describes differential cross sections from 500 to 1300 MeV.
Including $44$-isobar excitation improves agreement with experimental data.
The approach covers the entire angular range for the studied energies.
Abstract
Deuteron-proton elastic scattering is studied in the multiple scattering expansion formalism. The four contributions are taken into account: one-nucleon-exchange, single- and double scattering, and -isobar excitation. The presented approach was applied to describe the differential cross sections at deuteron energies between 500 and 1300 MeV in a whole angular range. The obtained results are compared with the experimental data.
