TL;DR
This study investigates the magnetic properties of CuInVO$_5$, revealing antiferromagnetic order below 2.7 K and a quantum magnetization plateau at high fields, attributed to antiferromagnetic spin-$rac{1}{2}$ tetramers.
Contribution
It provides detailed experimental characterization and modeling of the spin interactions in CuInVO$_5$, identifying specific intratetramer exchange constants.
Findings
Antiferromagnetic order below 2.7 K.
Observation of a 1/2 magnetization plateau above 30 T.
Identification of antiferromagnetic spin-$rac{1}{2}$ tetramers with specific exchange interactions.
Abstract
We measured the temperature dependence of the magnetic susceptibility and specific heat and the magnetic-field dependence of the magnetization of CuInVO. An antiferromagnetically ordered state appears below K. We observed a quantum magnetization plateau above 30 T at 1.3 K. We show that the spin system consists of antiferromagnetic spin- tetramers with and K for the intratetramer interactions.
