Measurement of the $W^{\pm}Z$ boson pair-production cross section in $pp$ collisions at $\sqrt{s}=13$ TeV with the ATLAS Detector
ATLAS Collaboration

TL;DR
This paper measures the $W^{ ext{±}}Z$ boson pair-production cross section at 13 TeV using ATLAS data, comparing results with Standard Model predictions and exploring various differential measurements.
Contribution
First measurement of $W^{ ext{±}}Z$ production cross section at 13 TeV with detailed differential analysis and comparison to advanced theoretical calculations.
Findings
Measured cross section in fiducial region: 63.2 fb.
Total phase space cross section: 50.6 pb.
Results agree with NNLO Standard Model predictions.
Abstract
The production of events in proton--proton collisions at a centre-of-mass energy of 13 TeV is measured with the ATLAS detector at the LHC. The collected data correspond to an integrated luminosity of 3.2 fb. The candidates are reconstructed using leptonic decays of the gauge bosons into electrons or muons. The measured inclusive cross section in the detector fiducial region for leptonic decay modes is (stat.) (sys.) (lumi.) fb. In comparison, the next-to-leading-order Standard Model prediction is fb. The extrapolation of the measurement from the fiducial to the total phase space yields (stat.) (sys.) (th.) (lumi.) pb, in agreement with a recent…
