TL;DR
This paper interprets Hawking radiation as a corpuscular process, linking the total emitted quanta to black hole entropy and recent soft hair discoveries, providing a new perspective on black hole evaporation.
Contribution
It offers a novel interpretation of Hawking radiation as corpuscular and connects it to soft hair, emphasizing the proportionality to black hole entropy.
Findings
Total Hawking quanta proportional to initial mass squared
Hawking radiation linked to black hole soft hair
Provides new perspective on black hole evaporation
Abstract
The total number of Hawking quanta emitted during the evaporation of a Schwarzschild black hole is proportional to the square of the initial mass or, equivalently, to the Bekenstein entropy. This simple, but little appreciated, fact is interpreted in terms of the recent discovery of black hole soft hair.
