Seungwon Baek, Pyungwon Ko, Peiwen Wu

TL;DR
This paper explores a scalar dark matter model coupled to the top quark and a vector-like top partner, analyzing its relic density, direct and indirect detection constraints, and collider signatures, highlighting the impact of the topVL portal.
Contribution
It introduces a top-philic scalar dark matter model with a vector-like top partner and studies its phenomenology, including relic density, detection prospects, and collider constraints.
Findings
Large Yukawa coupling enhances loop-induced DM-nucleon scattering.
Current experiments exclude certain parameter regions, especially where $SS\to gg$ dominates.
Collider data constrains the top partner mass up to about 1 TeV.
Abstract
We consider a simple extension of the Standard Model with a scalar top-philic Dark Matter (DM) coupling, apart from the Higgs portal, exclusively to the right-handed top quark and a colored vector-like top partner with a Yukawa coupling which we call the topVL portal. When the Higgs portal is closed and is perturbative , , and provide the dominant (co)annihilation contributions to obtain in light, medium and heavy DM mass range, respectively. However, large can make dominate via the loop-induced coupling in the region. In this model it is the coupling that generates DM-nucleon scattering in the direct detection, which can be large and simply determined by $\Omega_{\rm DM}…
