TL;DR
This paper introduces the Exponential Flexible Weibull extension distribution, a new three-parameter model with a bathtub-shaped hazard rate, and explores its properties, estimation methods, and real-data applications.
Contribution
The paper proposes a novel three-parameter distribution with specific hazard shape and derives its statistical properties and estimation techniques.
Findings
The EFWE distribution exhibits a bathtub-shaped hazard rate.
Maximum likelihood estimation effectively fits the model to data.
Applications demonstrate the model's flexibility and usefulness.
Abstract
This paper is devoted to study a new three- parameters model called the Exponential Flexible Weibull extension (EFWE) distribution which exhibits bathtub-shaped hazard rate. Some of it's statistical properties are obtained including ordinary and incomplete moments, quantile and generating functions, reliability and order statistics. The method of maximum likelihood is used for estimating the model parameters and the observed Fisher's information matrix is derived. We illustrate the usefulness of the proposed model by applications to real data.
