TL;DR
This paper explores a non-linear Higgs portal model for scalar Dark Matter, highlighting differences in relic abundance, detection methods, and collider signals compared to the standard linear scenario.
Contribution
It introduces a non-linear realization of electroweak symmetry breaking in the Higgs portal framework, providing new insights into Dark Matter interactions and phenomenology.
Findings
Altered Dark Matter relic abundance predictions
Distinct signals in direct and indirect detection experiments
Unique collider signatures of the non-linear Higgs portal
Abstract
The Higgs portal to scalar Dark Matter is considered in the context of non-linearly realised electroweak symmetry breaking. We determine the interactions of gauge bosons and the physical Higgs particle to a scalar singlet Dark Matter candidate in an effective description. The main phenomenological differences with respect to the standard scenario can be seen in the Dark Matter relic abundance, in direct/indirect searches and in signals at colliders.
