Staggered long-range order for diluted quantum spin models
Roman Koteck\'y, Benjamin Lees

TL;DR
This paper investigates a diluted quantum XY spin model and discovers conditions under which staggered occupancy phases emerge at low temperatures, despite expectations of dense occupation.
Contribution
It introduces the concept of staggered long-range order in a diluted quantum spin model, revealing new phase behavior not previously documented.
Findings
Staggered occupancy phases occur at low temperatures.
Dilution influences phase structure in quantum XY models.
Conditions for long-range order are identified.
Abstract
We study an annealed site diluted quantum XY model with spin . We find regions of the parameter space where, in spite of being a priori favourable for a densely occupied state, phases with staggered occupancy occur at low temperatures.
