Dynamics of Carroll Strings
Biel Cardona, Joaquim Gomis, Josep M Pons

TL;DR
This paper develops the canonical action for Carroll strings, explores their symmetries forming an infinite-dimensional algebra, and discusses tensionless limits and Carroll p-branes, advancing understanding of ultra-relativistic string dynamics.
Contribution
It introduces the canonical Carroll string action, analyzes its symmetries, and extends the framework to tensionless limits and p-branes, providing new insights into Carrollian string theory.
Findings
Carroll string symmetries form an infinite-dimensional algebra
Canonical action for Carroll strings is constructed
Tensionless limit and Carroll p-brane actions are discussed
Abstract
We construct the canonical action of a Carroll string doing the Carroll limit of a canonical relativistic string. We also study the Killing symmetries of the Carroll string, which close under an infinite dimensional algebra. The tensionless limit and the Carroll -brane action are also discussed.
