Generalized solutions of the Dirac equation, W bosons, and beta decay
Andrzej Okninski

TL;DR
This paper explores generalized solutions to the Dirac equation for spin 1 particles, proposing that these solutions model the decay process of virtual W bosons in beta decay.
Contribution
It introduces a novel approach by splitting Hagen-Hurley equations into Dirac equations with unique solutions, providing a new perspective on W boson decay.
Findings
New solutions describe virtual W boson decay
Splitting equations offers a novel modeling approach
Potential implications for understanding beta decay mechanisms
Abstract
We study the 7x7 Hagen-Hurley equations describing spin 1 particles. We split these equations, in the interacting case, into two Dirac equations with non-standard solutions. It is argued that these solutions describe decay of a virtual W boson in beta decay.
