Neutrino physics and precision cosmology
Steen Hannestad

TL;DR
This paper reviews how cosmological observations constrain neutrino properties like mass and energy density, discusses future bounds, and explores scenarios to reconcile light sterile neutrinos with cosmology.
Contribution
It provides a comprehensive overview of current and future cosmological bounds on neutrino properties and examines models reconciling sterile neutrinos with cosmological data.
Findings
Current structure formation bounds limit neutrino mass and energy density.
Future cosmological observations will tighten constraints on neutrino properties.
Various scenarios are discussed to reconcile light sterile neutrinos with cosmological data.
Abstract
I review the current status of structure formation bounds on neutrino properties such as mass and energy density. I also discuss future cosmological bounds as well as a variety of different scenarios for reconciling cosmology with the presence of light sterile neutrinos.
