Contribution
It introduces a novel algebraic geometric perspective on Hardy-Weinberg equilibrium and extends the discussion to new examples and generalizations.
Findings
Algebraic geometric formulation of Hardy-Weinberg equilibrium
Examples illustrating the equilibrium and its generalizations
Insights into the mathematical structure of genetic equilibrium laws
Abstract
In the first part of the paper I will present a brief review on the Hardy-Weinberg equilibrium and its formulation in projective algebraic geometry. In the second and last part I will discuss examples and generalizations on the topic.
