Comment on "Theoretical study of thorium monoxide for the electron electric dipole moment search: Electronic properties of ${H}^3\Delta_1$ in ThO"
Malika Denis, Timo Fleig

TL;DR
This paper provides an updated calculation of the electron EDM effective electric field and scalar-pseudoscalar interaction constant for ThO's ${^3 riangle}_1$ state, addressing previous criticisms and confirming the robustness of their results.
Contribution
It offers revised theoretical values for key properties of ThO relevant to electron EDM searches and defends their methodology against prior criticisms.
Findings
Updated $E_{eff}$ value of 75.2 GV/cm for ThO's ${^3 riangle}_1$ state
Calculated $W_S$ constant as 107.8 kHz for the same state
Criticisms from previous work are largely unsubstantiated within their framework
Abstract
We present an updated EDM effective electric field of and the electron-nucleon scalar-pseudoscalar interaction constant [kHz] for the science state of ThO. The criticisms made in reference [J. Chem. Phys. 142, 024301 (2015)] are addressed and largely found to be unsubstantiated within the framework of our approach.
