Subhankar Roy, N. Nimai Singh

TL;DR
This paper explores how to generate a non-zero reactor angle in neutrino physics without breaking the 2-3 symmetry of the neutrino mass matrix, challenging previous assumptions that symmetry breaking was necessary.
Contribution
It demonstrates that a non-zero can arise without breaking 2-3 symmetry, providing new insights into neutrino mass models.
Findings
Non-zero can be achieved without breaking 2-3 symmetry
Special case of =0 linked to 2-3 symmetry
Breakdown of 2-3 symmetry not essential for 7
Abstract
The prediction of vanishing reactor angle was thought to be a signature of - symmetry of neutrino mass matrix. But the present study addresses certain interesting facts related with - symmetry which are not addressed so far. The investigation highlights that , corresponds to a very special case in association with - symmetry and to engender a non-zero , the breakdown of - symmetry is not essential.
