Sum rules for interaction of $\Upsilon$ resonances with $Z_b \pi$
M.B. Voloshin

TL;DR
This paper derives sum rules for the couplings between bottomonium states, $Z_b$ resonances, and pions, revealing potential inconsistencies with current data and suggesting differences in production yields at high energies.
Contribution
It introduces sum rules based on analyticity and unitarity for $$ resonances and their interactions with bottomonium states and pions, highlighting challenges with existing data.
Findings
Sum rules impose constraints on $$ resonance couplings.
Current data struggles to satisfy both sum rules simultaneously.
Differences in $Z_b o Z_b ext{ and } Z_b$ production yields may resolve the issue.
Abstract
The strength of the amplitudes for the coupling between the bottomonium states, the bottomonium-like isovector resonances and a pion, , is considered. These amplitudes describe the decays for , and the processes for with either or . It is pointed out that analyticity and unitarity impose a sum rule for these couplings to each of the resonances. With the currently available data it appears to be difficult or impossible to simultaneously satisfy the sum rules for the and resonances. This difficulty can be resolved if there is a considerable dissimilarity in the yield of the states and in the annihilation at energies above the resonance.
