Delta(1232) contribution to real photon radiative corrections for elastic electron-proton scattering
R. E. Gerasimov, V. S. Fadin

TL;DR
This paper evaluates the impact of the Delta(1232) resonance on real photon radiative corrections in elastic electron-proton scattering, finding the effect to be minimal for past and recent experiments.
Contribution
It introduces the calculation of Delta(1232) resonance contributions to radiative corrections in elastic ep-scattering, a previously less explored aspect.
Findings
Delta(1232) contribution is small for unpolarized cross section measurements.
The effect is negligible for the VEPP-3 two-photon exchange experiment.
Radiative corrections from Delta(1232) do not significantly alter experimental results.
Abstract
Here we consider a contribution of Delta(1232) resonance to real photon radiative corrections for elastic -scattering. The effect is found to be small for past experiments to study unpolarized cross section as well as for the recent VEPP-3 experiment to investigate two-photon exchange effects by precision measurement of -scattering cross sections ratio.
