TL;DR
This paper provides experimental evidence of visco-elastic effects in strongly coupled dusty plasmas by studying dust acoustic and transverse shear waves in a DC Argon plasma.
Contribution
It presents novel experimental observations of visco-elastic behavior in dusty plasmas, highlighting wave propagation characteristics in strongly coupled regimes.
Findings
Observation of dust acoustic wave propagation
Detection of transverse shear waves
Evidence of visco-elastic effects in dusty plasma
Abstract
We report on experimental evidence of visco-elastic effects in a strongly coupled dusty plasma through investigations of the propagation characteristics of low frequency dust acoustic waves and by excitations of transverse shear waves in a DC discharge Argon plasma.
