Tianhong Wang, Yue Jiang, Han Yuan, Kan Chai, Guo-Li Wang

TL;DR
This study investigates the weak decay processes of $J/$ and $(1S)$ mesons using the Bethe-Salpeter method, revealing new form factors that influence decay rates and providing detailed branching ratio estimates.
Contribution
The paper introduces two new form factors, $h_1$ and $h_2$, in the analysis of $1^- o 1^-$ decays, which significantly impact decay rate calculations.
Findings
New form factors $h_1$ and $h_2$ affect decay rates by 3-14%.
Largest semi-leptonic branching ratios are around 10^{-10}.
Non-leptonic decay branching ratios are around 10^{-9} for $J/\psi$.
Abstract
In this paper we study the weak decays of and . Using the Bethe-Salpeter method, we calculate the hadronic transition amplitude and give the form factors. We find that two new form factors and , which do not appear in existing literature, have contributions in decays. They affect the branching ratios of semi-leptonic and non-leptonic decays by the rate of and , respectively, so their contributions can not be ignored and should be considered. Our results show that, for the semi-leptonic decay modes, the largest branching ratios are of the order of both for and decays, and the largest branching ratios of non-leptonic decays are of the order of for and for .
