Beno\^it Blossier, Antoine G\'erardin

TL;DR
This study uses lattice QCD in the static limit of HQET to analyze the internal distributions of the $B$ meson and its first radial excitation, providing insights into their structure and form factors at zero momentum transfer.
Contribution
It presents the first lattice QCD analysis of the $B$ meson’s density distributions and form factors in the static limit, including excited states, enhancing understanding of meson structure.
Findings
Density distributions of $B$ meson and its excitation obtained
Form factors at $q^2=0$ calculated from Fourier transforms
Insights into the nature of the excited state provided
Abstract
We report on a two-flavor lattice QCD study of the axial, charge and matter distributions of the meson and its first radial excitation. As our framework is the static limit of Heavy Quark Effective Theory (HQET), taking their Fourier transform gives access to several form factors at the kinematical point . Moreover they provide some useful information on the nature of an excited state, i.e. a radial excitation of a quark-antiquark bound state or a multihadron state.
