TL;DR
This paper presents a model-independent Dalitz plot analysis of $B^0 o D K^{*0}$ decays to measure the CKM angle $oldsymbol{ extit{ extgamma}}$, utilizing external strong phase measurements to reduce model dependence, and reports related CP violation parameters from LHCb data.
Contribution
It introduces a model-independent method for measuring $ extit{ extgamma}$ using external strong phase data, improving accuracy over previous model-dependent approaches.
Findings
Measured $ extit{ extgamma}$ as $(71 extpm 20)^ ext{o}$
Determined $r_{B^0} = 0.56 extpm 0.17$
Obtained $ extit{ extdelta}_{B^0} = (204^{+21}_{-20})^ ext{o}$
Abstract
A binned Dalitz plot analysis of the decays , with and , is performed to measure the observables and , which are related to the CKM angle and the hadronic parameters of the decays. The decay strong phase variation over the Dalitz plot is taken from measurements performed at the CLEO-c experiment, making the analysis independent of the decay model. With a sample of proton-proton collision data, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of , collected by the LHCb experiment, the values of the violation parameters are found to be , , and , where the first uncertainties are statistical and the second systematic. These observables correspond to…
