Calculation of Spin Observables for Proton-Neutron Elastic Scattering in the Bethe-Salpeter Equation
Susumu Kinpara

TL;DR
This paper applies the Bethe-Salpeter equation to proton-neutron elastic scattering, calculating spin observables using a meson-exchange model and revealing charge independence breaking in the nucleon-nucleon system.
Contribution
It extends the Bethe-Salpeter approach to p-n scattering and incorporates meson-exchange parameters with a pion cutoff, highlighting charge independence breaking.
Findings
Calculated spin observables for p-n scattering.
Indicated charge independence breaking in the nucleon-nucleon system.
Used meson-exchange model with pion cutoff parameters.
Abstract
Bethe-Salpeter equation is applied to - elastic scattering. The spin observables are calculated by the M matrix similar to - case. The parameters of the meson-exchange model are used with the cut-off for the pion exchange interaction. Change of the M matrix indicates breaking of the charge independence in the nucleon-nucleon system.
