TL;DR
This paper examines the consistency of nuclear effects in electromagnetic and weak interactions, comparing neutrino DIS data with HKN07 nuclear PDFs, revealing discrepancies and potential differences in nuclear modifications.
Contribution
It investigates potential differences in nuclear effects between electromagnetic and weak interactions using neutrino DIS data and HKN07 PDFs, highlighting discrepancies and the significance of these differences.
Findings
Discrepancies in small and large-x regions.
Differences in y dependence between neutrino and antineutrino data.
Statistical significance of neutrino DIS data suggests possible different nuclear modifications.
Abstract
We discuss consistency of the nuclear effects between the electromagnetic and weak interactions. In order to study a possibility of different nuclear effects in the neutrino DIS process, double differential cross section data are compared with these values obtained by the HKN07 nuclear parton distribution functions (nPDFs). Discrepancies are found in the small and large- regions, and difference of kinematical value dependence exists between the and data around . Moreover, we study statistical significance of the neutrino DIS data in each bin and discuss about the possibility of the different nuclear modifications.
