TL;DR
This paper investigates the decay of Lambda_b to pK- using QCD factorization, incorporating one-loop QCD corrections and diquark approximation to accurately predict branching ratios and CP violation consistent with experimental data.
Contribution
It introduces a detailed calculation of Lambda_b decay including QCD penguin effects and one-loop corrections within the QCD factorization framework, improving theoretical predictions.
Findings
Predicted branching ratio: 4.85×10^{-6}
CP violation approximately 5%
Results align with experimental data
Abstract
With only the tree level operator, the decay of is predicted to be one order smaller than the experimental data. The QCD penguin effects should be taken into account. In this paper, we explore the one-loop QCD corrections to the decay of within the framework of QCD factorization approach. For the baryon system, the diquark approximation is adopted. The transition hadronic matrix elements between and are calculated in the light front quark model. The branching ratio of is predicted to be about which is consistent with experimental data . The CP violation is about 5\% in theory.
