Does thiosemicarbazide lead nitrate (TSLN) crystal exist?
R. Fernandes, Bikshandarkoil R. Srinivasan

TL;DR
This paper challenges a previous claim by demonstrating that the so-called TSLN crystal is actually just thiosemicarbazide, questioning the existence of the purported TSLN crystal.
Contribution
The authors refute prior claims of TSLN crystal growth, clarifying that the material is actually thiosemicarbazide, thus correcting the scientific record.
Findings
TSLN is not a distinct crystal but thiosemicarbazide
Previous crystal growth claims are incorrect
Clarification of chemical identity of the sample
Abstract
The authors of a recent paper (Optik 125 (2014) 2022-2025) claim to have grown a so called thiosemicarbazide lead nitrate (TSLN) crystal by the slow evaporation method. In this comment we prove that TSLN is actually thiosemicarbazide.
