$B^{0}_{s}$ lifetime measurement in the CP-odd decay channel $B^{0}_{s} \to J/\psi\mbox{ }f_{0}(980)$
D0 Collaboration

TL;DR
This paper reports a precise measurement of the $B^{0}_{s}$ meson lifetime in a CP-odd decay channel using data from the D0 detector, providing insights into heavy meson properties.
Contribution
The study presents the first lifetime measurement of $B^{0}_{s}$ in the $J/eta ext{ }_0(980)$ decay channel with a large dataset, improving understanding of $B^{0}_{s}$ properties.
Findings
Measured $B^{0}_{s}$ lifetime as 1.70 ps with uncertainties.
Determined the width of the heavy $B^{0}_{s}$ eigenstate as 0.59 ps$^{-1}$.
Results are consistent with Standard Model predictions.
Abstract
The lifetime of the meson is measured in the decay channel with MeV/, which is mainly a CP-odd state and dominated by the resonance. In 10.4 fb of data collected with the D0 detector in Run II of the Tevatron, the lifetime of the meson is measured to be . Neglecting CP violation in mixing, the measurement can be translated into the width of the heavy mass eigenstate of the , \Gamma_H = 0.59 \pm 0.05 \mbox{ (stat)} \pm 0.02 \mbox{ (syst)} \mbox{ ps^{-1}}.
