On quasidegeneracy of Majorana neutrinos and the observed pattern of Leptonic mixing
M. N. Rebelo

TL;DR
This paper explores how near-degeneracy of Majorana neutrinos can explain the observed leptonic mixing pattern, including the value of |U_{13}| and CP violation, by analyzing correlations among physical observables.
Contribution
It introduces a framework linking neutrino quasi-degeneracy to leptonic mixing and CP violation, providing new insights into neutrino mass schemes.
Findings
Lifting neutrino degeneracy explains |U_{13}|
Correlations among physical observables are identified
Potential for sizeable CP violation is shown
Abstract
We relate the observed pattern of leptonic mixing to the quaidegeneracy of three Majorana neutrinos. We show how lifting the degeneracy may lead to the measured value of and to sizeable CP violation of Dirac-type. We show some of the correlations obtained among physical observables, starting from some of the most interesting schemes proposed in the literature.
