Photographic dataset: random peppercorns
Teemu Helenius, Samuli Siltanen

TL;DR
This paper introduces a photographic dataset of randomly distributed peppercorns designed for testing image processing algorithms, providing statistically similar images for benchmarking purposes.
Contribution
It presents a new dataset of peppercorn images with statistical similarity, useful for evaluating image processing techniques.

Contains statistically similar images of peppercorns
Facilitates testing of image processing algorithms
Abstract
This is a photographic dataset collected for testing image processing algorithms. The idea is to have sets of different but statistically similar images. In this work the images show randomly distributed peppercorns. The dataset is made available at www.fips.fi/photographic_dataset.php .
