Effects of isovector scalar meson on hyperon star
S. K. Biswal, Bharat Kumar, S. K. Patra

TL;DR
This paper investigates how the isovector-scalar ($elta$)-meson affects the structure and maximum mass of neutron stars and hyperon stars, revealing that it stiffens the equation of state in neutron stars but decreases the maximum mass in hyperon stars.
Contribution
It provides a comparative analysis of the $elta$-meson's impact on both neutron and hyperon stars, highlighting its role in star stability and mass limits.
Findings
$elta$-meson stiffens the equation of state in neutron stars.
Inclusion of $elta$-meson increases maximum mass of neutron stars.
In hyperon stars, $elta$-meson decreases maximum mass due to early hyperon formation.
Abstract
We study the effects of isovector-scalar ()-meson on neutron star. Influence of -meson on both static and rotating neutron star is discussed. Inclusion of -meson in a neutron star system consisting of proton, neutron and electron, make the equation of state stiffer in higher density and consequently increases the maximum mass of the star. But induction of -meson in the hyperon star decreases the maximum mass of the hyperon star. This is due to the early evolution of hyperons in presence of meson.
