Constantia Alexandrou (Univ. of Cyprus & The Cyprus Inst.)

TL;DR
This paper reports on lattice QCD calculations of the first moments of parton distribution functions, including a preliminary study of the vector distribution at near-physical pion mass, advancing understanding of nucleon structure.
Contribution
It provides new lattice QCD results for the first moments of parton distributions at near-physical pion mass and explores the vector distribution function using twisted mass fermions.
Findings
First moments of parton distributions calculated at physical pion mass.
Initial results on the vector parton distribution function at 373 MeV pion mass.
Demonstrates feasibility of lattice QCD studies of parton distributions with twisted mass quarks.
Abstract
We present recent results on the first moments of parton distributions using gauge configurations generated with two degenerate flavors of light twisted mass quarks with pion mass fixed approximately to its physical value. We also present a first study of the vector parton distribution function using a twisted mass ensemble at pion mass of 373 MeV.
