TL;DR
This paper details the production of self-supported thin film targets of silver, lithium fluoride/silver, and calcium fluoride/silver using high vacuum evaporation, including methods, setup, and characterization.
Contribution
It introduces a high vacuum resistance evaporation technique for producing self-supported thin film targets of specific materials.
Findings
Successful fabrication of Ag, LiF/Ag, and CaF$_2$/Ag targets
Detailed characterization of the produced targets
Description of the production setup and methods
Abstract
We have produced in the Nuclear Physics Center in Lisbon thin film self-supported targets of Ag, LiF/Ag and CaF/Ag by a high vacuum resistance evaporation method. The production setup, materials, methods, characterization and results are described.
