Some desultory remarks concerning algebraic cycles and Calabi--Yau threefolds
Robert Laterveer

TL;DR
This paper investigates conjectures related to Chow groups of genus one varieties, providing examples of Calabi-Yau threefolds where these conjectures are verified through finite-dimensional motives.
Contribution
It offers new verifications of conjectures on Chow groups for specific Calabi-Yau threefolds using the theory of finite-dimensional motives.
Findings
Verification of conjectures for certain Calabi-Yau threefolds
Application of finite-dimensional motives to algebraic cycles
Examples illustrating the theory's effectiveness
Abstract
We study some conjectures about Chow groups of varieties of geometric genus one. Some examples are given of Calabi-Yau threefolds where these conjectures can be verified, using the theory of finite-dimensional motives.
