TL;DR
This paper reports the experimental observation of spatiotemporal chaos caused by cavity solitons in a fiber ring resonator, supported by simulations and theoretical analysis, advancing understanding of complex dynamics in optical systems.
Contribution
It provides the first experimental evidence linking cavity solitons to spatiotemporal chaos in fiber ring resonators, with validation through simulations and theory.
Findings
Observation of cavity soliton destabilization into chaos
Agreement between experiments, simulations, and theory
Insight into complex optical dynamics
Abstract
We report on the experimental observation of temporal cavity soliton destabilization via spatiotemporal chaos in a coherently-driven optical fiber ring resonator. Numerical simulations and theoretical analyses are in good agreement with experimental observations.
