Jose A. Barrionuevo, Jarod Hart, Lucas Oliveira

TL;DR
This paper introduces a simple method to establish weak L1 bounds for new bilinear maximal operators related to Kakeya and lacunary sets, extending previous foundational work in harmonic analysis.
Contribution
It presents an elementary approach to prove bilinear estimates for maximal operators of Kakeya and lacunary type, expanding the scope of earlier results.
Findings
Established weak L1 bounds for novel bilinear maximal operators
Extended classical Kakeya and lacunary estimates to bilinear setting
Provided a simplified proof technique for these estimates
Abstract
We prove L2 x L2 to weak L1 estimates for some novel bilinear maximal operators of Kakeya and lacunary type thus extending to this setting, the works of Cordoba and of Nagel, Stein and Wainger.
