TL;DR
This paper presents the first amplitude analysis of CP violation in $B^0 o D K^+ \pi^-$ decays using Dalitz plots, constraining the unitarity triangle angle $oldsymbol{ extgamma}$ with data from LHCb, and determining hadronic parameters for the first time.
Contribution
First amplitude analysis of CP violation in $B^0 o D K^+ \pi^-$ decays, providing new constraints on $ extgamma$ and measuring hadronic parameters for the $B^0 o D K^*(892)^0$ decay.
Findings
No significant CP violation observed.
Constraints placed on the angle $ extgamma$.
Hadronic parameters for $B^0 o D K^*(892)^0$ decay measured.
Abstract
The first study is presented of CP violation with an amplitude analysis of the Dalitz plot of decays, with , and . The analysis is based on a data sample corresponding to of collisions collected with the LHCb detector. No significant CP violation effect is seen, and constraints are placed on the angle of the unitarity triangle formed from elements of the Cabibbo-Kobayashi-Maskawa quark mixing matrix. Hadronic parameters associated with the decay are determined for the first time. These measurements can be used to improve the sensitivity to of existing and future studies of the decay.
