Ya-ping Xie, Xurong Chen

TL;DR
This paper calculates the coherent cross sections of vector mesons in ultraperipheral PbPb collisions at the LHC using dipole models, comparing predictions with experimental data for validation.
Contribution
It applies the IP-Sat and IIM dipole models with various wave functions to predict vector meson cross sections, providing new theoretical insights and comparisons with experimental results.
Findings
Predictions for $J/\psi$ and $\rho$ cross sections agree with ALICE data.
Provides new predictions for $\phi$ meson cross sections.
Demonstrates the effectiveness of dipole models in ultraperipheral collision analysis.
Abstract
The coherent cross section of , , are computed in dipole model in the ultraperipheral PbPb collisions, the IP-Sat and IIM model are applied in the calculation of the differential cross section of the dipole scattering off the nucleon, three kinds of forward vector meson wave functions are used in the overlap. The prediction of and is compared with the experimental data of the ALICE Collaboration, and the prediction of is also given in this paper.
