Communication Tradeoffs in Wireless Networks
Serj Haddad, Olivier Leveque

TL;DR
This paper analyzes the maximum broadcast rate in wireless networks considering fading effects, revealing a duality between beamforming performance and network degrees of freedom.
Contribution
It introduces a novel duality framework linking beamforming strategies to network degrees of freedom under fading conditions.
Findings
Maximum broadcast rate characterized under various fading models
Duality established between beamforming performance and degrees of freedom
Insights into optimal strategies for wireless broadcast efficiency
Abstract
We characterize the maximum achievable broadcast rate in a wireless network under various fading assumptions. Our result exhibits a duality between the performance achieved in this context by collaborative beamforming strategies and the number of degrees of freedom available in the network.
