The Effective Field Theorist's Approach to Gravitational Dynamics
Rafael A. Porto

TL;DR
This paper reviews the effective field theory approach to gravitational dynamics, emphasizing applications to extended objects, gravitational wave emission, and cosmological large-scale structures, highlighting its versatility in various gravitational phenomena.
Contribution
It introduces EFT methods to analyze complex gravitational systems, including extended objects, binary systems, and cosmological structures, demonstrating their broad applicability.
Findings
EFT provides a systematic framework for gravitational dynamics.
Application to spinning binary systems enhances waveform modeling.
EFT methods facilitate understanding of large-scale cosmological structures.
Abstract
We review the effective field theory (EFT) approach to gravitational dynamics. We focus on extended objects in long-wavelength backgrounds and gravitational wave emission from spinning binary systems. We conclude with an introduction to EFT methods for the study of cosmological large scale structures.
