TL;DR
This paper investigates the competition between $eta$-delayed protons and $eta$-delayed $ ext{gamma}$ rays in the decay of $^{56}$Zn, highlighting the first observation of exotic $eta$-delayed $ ext{gamma}$-proton decay in the $fp$ shell.
Contribution
It reports the first detection of $eta$-delayed $ ext{gamma}$-proton decay in $^{56}$Zn and analyzes the competition between different decay modes from the Isobaric Analogue State.
Findings
First observation of $eta$-delayed $ ext{gamma}$-proton decay in $^{56}$Zn.
Evidence of competition between $eta$-delayed protons and $eta$-delayed $ ext{gamma}$ rays.
Insights into decay mechanisms in the $fp$ shell.
Abstract
Remarkable results have been published recently on the decay of Zn. In particular, the rare and exotic -delayed -proton emission has been detected for the first time in the shell. Here we focus the discussion on this exotic decay mode and on the observed competition between -delayed protons and -delayed rays from the Isobaric Analogue State.
