TL;DR
This paper investigates the spectral properties of many-flavor QCD to identify signals of walking dynamics, comparing Nf=8 and Nf=12 cases, and providing preliminary results on flavor-singlet pseudoscalar masses.
Contribution
It offers updated scaling analyses of hadron spectra in Nf=8 QCD using HISQ action and compares these with Nf=12 to explore conformality and walking behavior.
Findings
Spectral scaling properties suggest walking dynamics in Nf=8 QCD.
Comparison indicates Nf=12 QCD exhibits conformal behavior.
Preliminary flavor-singlet pseudoscalar mass results are presented.
Abstract
In the search for a realistic walking technicolor model, QCD with many flavors is an attractive candidate. From the series of studies by the LatKMI collaboration, we present updated results of the scaling properties of various hadron spectra, including the (pseudo)scalar, vector, and baryon channels, for QCD analyzed with the HISQ action. By comparing these with QCD, which has properties consistent with conformality, possible signals of walking dynamics are discussed. We also present a preliminary result of the flavor-singlet pseudoscalar mass in many-flavor QCD.
