Analytic expressions for the kinetic decoupling of WIMPs
Luca Visinelli

TL;DR
This paper derives a general formula for the kinetic decoupling temperature and energy of WIMPs applicable across various cosmological models, exemplified with a power-law Hubble rate.
Contribution
It provides a universal analytic expression for WIMP kinetic decoupling parameters, extending previous models to arbitrary cosmologies.
Findings
Derived a general formula for WIMP kinetic decoupling temperature.
Applied the formula to a power-law Hubble rate scenario.
Demonstrated the formula's versatility across different cosmological models.
Abstract
We present a general expression for the values of the average kinetic energy and of the temperature of kinetic decoupling of a WIMP, valid for any cosmological model. We show an example of the usage of our solution when the Hubble rate has a power-law dependence on temperature.
