Charmed hadron photoproduction at COMPASS
Xiao-Yun Wang, Alexey Guskov

TL;DR
This paper investigates the photoproduction of specific charmed hadrons at COMPASS using an effective Lagrangian and Regge trajectories, estimating decay widths and discussing production possibilities.
Contribution
It introduces a combined theoretical and experimental approach to study charmed hadron photoproduction at COMPASS, providing upper limits on decay widths and exploring production mechanisms.
Findings
Estimated upper limit of $ ext{Gamma}_{Z_c(4200) ightarrow J/\psi \pi}$ is about 37 MeV.
Proposed search method for $\Lambda_c^*(2940)$ in missing mass spectrum.
Identified the t-channel as dominant in $\Lambda_c^*(2940)$ photoproduction.
Abstract
Photoproduction of the charmonium-like state and the charmed baryon is investigated with an effective Lagrangian approach and the Regge trajectories applying to the COMPASS experiment. Combining the experimental data from COMPASS and our theoretical model we estimate the upper limit of to be of about 37 MeV. Moreover, the possibility to produce at COMPASS is discussed. It seems one can try to search for this hadron in the missing mass spectrum since the -channel is dominating for the photoproduction.
