TL;DR
This paper employs exceptional field theory to demonstrate dualities between specific 7D maximal supersymmetric truncations from IIA to IIB, introduces new truncations on $S^3$ and $H^{p,q}$, and establishes a no-go theorem for certain gaugings.
Contribution
It reveals a duality framework for consistent truncations and provides new truncation examples and a no-go theorem within the context of exceptional field theory.
Findings
Established duality between IIA and IIB truncations
Constructed new consistent truncations on $S^3$ and $H^{p,q}$
Proved a no-go theorem for certain gaugings
Abstract
We use exceptional field theory to establish a duality between certain consistent 7-dimensional truncations with maximal SUSY from IIA to IIB. We use this technique to obtain new consistent truncations of IIB on and and also give a no-go theorem for the uplift of certain gaugings.
