Local QCD Action at Finite Temperature
Patrick Cooper, Daniel Zwanziger

TL;DR
This paper derives a local, BRST-invariant QCD action at finite temperature by analyzing the horizon condition and zero Matsubara mode effects, discussing implications for magnetic mass and Gribov mass.
Contribution
It introduces a finite-temperature local QCD action incorporating the horizon condition and modifies the Maggiore-Schaden shift for temporal periodicity.
Findings
Horizon condition affected only by zero Matsubara mode
Consistent modification of Maggiore-Schaden shift
Discussion of magnetic mass and Gribov mass relation
Abstract
In this article, we carefully derive the horizon condition at finite temperature. Only the zero Matsubara mode is affected, and this result is consistent with the suitably modified Maggiore-Schaden shift, which takes into account temporal periodicity. We thus obtain a local, BRST-invariant action for QCD at finite temperature. The large-N limit and other calculational schemes for the magnetic mass and its relation to the Gribov mass are also discussed.
